Kylie Ankerholtz and Matt Briggs

Congratulations to one of our beautiful brides, Kylie Ankerholtz Briggs, who is featured in the most recent edition of KC Weddings Magazine, on pages 70-75.

Kylie and Matt’s wedding and reception, held at Arts Incubator, incorporated the Rustic Urban vibe of their venue. The unique charm and attention to detail was present throughout the wedding with many rustic elegant touches.

Kylie and her mom Staci, created a custom menu for the wedding tailored to both she and Matt’s specific tastes. Prior to the wedding, they held an cocktail hour with beautiful upscale Hors d’ oeuvres, such as our Artisan Cheese Board, Spinach Artichoke in Won Ton Cups and Mediterranean Trio Display.

 For the wedding buffet, they turned up the fun with an electic array of appetizers, catering to Kylie’s love of Southwestern cuisine and Matt’s love of comfort food. To make it unique and appealing, everything was in miniature. . .so we dubbed it the Ultimate Mini Comfort Food Buffet! :) Kylie’s selections were Chicken Quesadillas with guacamole and salsa along with Southwest Caesar Salad in homemade Corn Tortilla Cups, presented on cupcake trees. She made sure that Matt got some of his favorites with smoked flank on skewers with gorgonzola sauce, pulled pork sliders and individual cups of homemade mac and cheese, along with other crowd pleasing appetizers.  Their unique style influenced us and several of our bride following have chosen to use a “miniature” theme for their entrees. . . (think mashed potato bar in martini glasses and miniature salads). Kylie, Matt and their families were amazing to work with and we so enjoyed being a part of this very special and extraordinary wedding.
