The Clubhouse at Baltimore is an excellent place to have a wedding and reception. I could not have been more pleased. The service I got from the very beginning right up to the "last good-bye" was unbelievable. Everyone on their staff was so helpful. This was a long distance wedding/reception so I had lots of long distance questions and each time they were answered promptly. I truly could not have done this wedding without the help of Deb and Janis. I compared lots of place for price, etc. and found this to be one of the best values. They offer great package deal that others do not. The turn over time between the ceremony and the reception was the fastest I have ever seen. Working with the Clubhouse was truly a great experience and I would highly recommend them for any event.

Everyone planning a wedding should look at this venue. Our daughter had a destination wedding, and then we used the Clubhouse on Baltimore for our daughter's wedding reception in April, which was one of the nights that the Sprint Center had a sold out concert. Broncattos did the catering, Lori Price did the planning, the dj was provided by the CoB. Photo Booths and more did the photo booth and Needham's Floral provided the flowers.Wow. What a great venue. It is beautiful. The room is beautiful, the accoustics perfect, and the Tudor room allows for great flexibility on arrangements of seating. Needhams did a beautiful job.Lori did it all for us (except for ordering the flowers). We started with a basic package and added and subtracted what we wanted to make it our daughter's own event. When we needed a DJ, Lori added it to our package. When we wanted a photo booth, Lori helped us find one. When we wanted one special type of beverage, it was provided for our guests. We worried about every detail imaginable....menu (thanks, Broncattos, it was yummy), music (great DJ, provided as part of the CoB package), seating charts--everything. Lori was responsive to our emails and scheduled phone calls with us when needed. The mother of the bride (me) had some jitters---but Lori did a nice job of working with us all. The DJ was great---provided the right music at the right time to keep things going and answered lots of requests. The bartenders were some of the best that we have had (and we go to lots of events!)Oh--and then at the last minute, the Sprint Center scheduled a really big concert. No problem---Lori connected us with a nearby parking lot and helped us get guaranteed parking for our guests. The parking lot worked with us to help our guests identify themselves.Overall, it was a very positive experience. On the day of the reception, all we had to do was bring the guest book and our friends and families---the Clubhouse on Baltimore took care of everything else, as promised. It was so nice to just write one check for everything. Thanks!

We booked the Clubhouse On Baltimore, and then read some awful reviews about them. I was worried after reading them. But everything went wonderfully. We worked with Lori. She is AWESOME. I highly recommend Lori. I think some of the bad reviews are based on someone else that works there. Lori was able to work with us on anything we wanted, but provide suggestions and recommendations for us if we weren't sure. I completely trusted her and loved meeting with her. She is very experienced and can run a strict event if needed. Getting in touch with Lori was not a problem. She usually is really busy on weekends because of weddings she is working, and they don't work on Mondays. So I would usually have to wait until Tuesday to hear from her if I called her late in the week, but she always returned calls and answered any questions or concerns. I can't say enough great things about her, I wish I could work with her again. She deeply cared about our reception, and she made it so wonderful for us. And the venue was BEAUTIFUL!

The Clubhouse on Baltimore was the perfect place for the ceremony and reception. First, the fact that the location is so close to hotel and entertainment was wonderful. I had quite a few out of town guest in and the fact that they could walk from the hotel or to the rehearsal dinner was so helpful. Second, I didn't realize when I went to sign the contract what all was included. We got the Walnut Room and the Grill Room for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We also got bar, catering (KC Catering is fantastic) and the DJ. It really put me at ease that so many things were already taken care of. Third, Deb, the event manager assigned to my wedding was extremely helpful. It was easy to get in touch with her when I had questions. Everything went so smoothly the day, I know she was the reason why. Last, and certainly not least, the location is beautiful. I don't just mean the rooms we had for the day but every venue in that building was gorgeous. A sincere thank you to Deb, Janis and the entire staff at the Clubhouse on Baltimore.

Lori Price and staff were just wonderful from the get go. We are from Louisville, Ky and when Lori suggested that we tell her what we wanted and she would get it, It was very welcomed. We used the Tudor Room for the ceremony and then flipped it for the reception. We utilized the lobby and the bar during the flip which was a very smooth process. Vernon and Brancato's were our caterers for the night. Lori and Vernon are a great combo. They took care of the wedding party and families and made us feel so special. All the comments were positive from the guests. The room was perfect. Food was delicious and hot. Bartenders were friendly and helpful. All our planning ended in a VERY Beautiful wedding for our daughter, Brianna. We will long remember this event with great fondness. Thanks again Lori and crew.Nancye and Michael Canter

I loved our reception! The Tudor Room was beautiful and I was very glad everything was already included. I didn't have to worry about trying to book a lot of other things. I really enjoyed it. It was just hard to get a hold of our wedding coordinator there sometimes, which was pretty annoying. I also didn't like that our reception ended so early. I thought it would at least go till 10ish or so, but we got cut off around 9, which was really strange. Oh well, it was still beautiful.

The Clubhouse was a great choice for our wedding reception. They were extremely willing to to go above and beyond to keep us happy. This was a positive experience and I would highly recommend the venue. Deb Chatfield was great; she is clearly dedicated to providing quality services for her clients. And she can think quickly to save a moment - IE: making a bouquet for the bouquet toss out of a table arrangement and a chair sash. Thank you for all your efforts in making this a beautiful evening for us.

I got married back in December, and we had a great experience with Lori and Clubhouse on Baltimore! What a beautiful venue to invite your friends and family to as well as take pictures in. The location is perfect because our guests were able to walk to Power and Light for an after party following the reception. The DJ was provided by Clubhouse on Baltimore, and he was very easy to work with. The food was fabulous! Thank you to Lori and Clubhouse on Baltimore for helping make our special day wonderful!

This is an elegant venue. We were coming into this preparation "blind". We knew that an all inclusive service would be less stressful for us. We should have asked more questions or written down answers at the beginning and then Emailed our understanding of things back to Deb. This would have insured that we were all on the same time-table. The glitches that did occur were minor and handled to the best of Deb's ability. The one with the caterer was beyond her control, but she did compensate us for it. I cannot imagine any other place that would have been as nice, memorable, and exceeding our expectations.

I was hesitant to have our reception at Clubhouse on Baltimore because I used to live in the lofts above the building and was less than impressed by the managment. But, we lucked out getting the Tudor Room at the Clubhouse and were the only reception there that night. It was beautiful. It is a gorgeous room. They threw in the Chivari chairs for free as well. The event coordinators were hard to get ahold of and it took several times to get our contract right. It seemed like no one knew how to proofread and carefully write up a contract so we had to be very careful with them on that. Other than that, it was great. We had Deb as our event coordinator that night and she was wonderful! She took care of everything really well and made it go smoothly. She was very professional.

The bathrooms on the floor of our reception were not working a few days prior to the reception but we were assured that they would be on the night of the reception. They were not and we felt that we should have received prior notice and perhaps some discount on the price we paid due to our guests' inconvenience of going to a different floor for a working bathroom.Deb Chatfield was very helpful and knowledgeable. We have recommended her.The DJ service was very responsive to a bad performance by one of their employees and the Clubhouse was notified of this.

TCOB was a beautiful venue, we loved it and recieved many compliments. The only problems we had was with the caterer, who were through the venue. Also it is VERY, VERY, VERY difficult to get ahold of people at TCOB. We are still tryinmg to talk to someone about a few problems we had with the catering; and it has been a year!!

Of all of my numerous vendors that I hired throughout the wedding planning process, I only had major issues with 2 vendors-the worst being my reception venue, The Clubhouse on Baltimore. Of course one of the first places you book is the reception venue because everything books up so quickly. I guess in the beginning of my planning process I was so naive and blinded by the fact that having good customer service isn't something a bride should hope to get, but should EXPECT to get. From the beginning I was made to feel pressured after my tour that if I didn't book that day that I would lose the place, and since I was enchanted by the beautiful, unique stain glass in the Tudor room, I accepted the questionable terms of the messy, unclear contract. I thought, well at least I can bring my own catering in instead of paying the ridiculous per person price they offered for their catering, but with that came a 10% charge on all food brought in and multiple misc charges, as well as one of the owners telling me the week before our wedding that since my caterer wasn't on their preferred catering list, I would have another additional fee charged to my account! That's just the tip of the iceberg. They divide your payments into 3 or 4 scheduled payments, which is fine, if they would ever return phone calls. When you call there nobody ever answers the phone and your lucky when you leave a message if someone will call you back-I mean I was attempting to pay THEM money! Like I mentioned, the weekend before our wedding was horrible. To make this long story short, my mom and I received the worst customer service ever. All of a sudden new issues were brought up just days before the wedding-where were they with these concerns a month ago, oh yeah not calling me back! Not only were issues brought up by them with my band that I had hired and they knew about for more than 6 months, but the way the owner, Jennifer handled the situation and my concern was with rudeness and a horrible attitude. We paid them SO much money and she talked to me like I was annoying her, never asking what she could do to help, only giving me problems to worry about. I would never recommend them!!!

The clubhouse is beautiful, the staff is horrible. From the moment I signed my contract every step was a constant battle. In my initial meeting with a planner I was told information that was very contradictory to what I was told at the initial sales meeting. I was then charged too much money and when I questioned this I was notified that they took it upon themselves to add 25 guests more than what was in the contract. Communication was nearly non-existant. It took multiple calls and emails to get a response and that came weeks later. I had to demand to meet with someone as at 1.5 weeks prior to my wedding nothing had been done. The menu was not confirmed, no tasting had been done, decorations had not been orderd as promised, the layout and itenerary of the day had not been discussed. Essentially nobody was prepared for my event despite my persistence and not to mention hefty payments. On the day of the rehearsal my event lead was busy doing a sales meeting with another couple despite the fact that I had the room reserved. On the day of the wedding I literally had to pull out my contract in the middle of the reception set-up as the event lead would not allow the decorations that I had planned to be placed on the tables. She then told us that it was an "old" contract. They had rewritten it....news to me. I never signed a new contract. When it came time for the damage deposit refund I was lied to endlessly and finally got the check only after mentioning legal action. This place has the potential to be one of the most beautiful venues in the city but as long as they are under current management the beauty is not worth the pain!

My daughter just had her wedding reception in the Tudor Room at The Clubhouse on Baltimore. The site was absoultely lovely; but working with Lori Price, wedding coordinator, there was quite frustrating. We rarely had confirmations of various services in writing. Lori would say one thing and produce another or state that there was a "surcharge" on it. The only way I would recommend this beautiful venue is to hire an outside wedding coordinator or book only the room and everything else a la carte. We made the mistake of booking a "package" deal and it was disastrous.

I would under NO CIRCUMSTANCES recommend the Clubhouse on Baltimore to anyone - not even my worst enemy. Even though I received a poor review from a bride who had just gotten married there, I decided to go ahead with the venue because I was so impressed with the sales lady, Janis. She made me think that everything was really professional and would be handled well. After I gave my deposit, it was a nightmare! It was impossible to get ahold of anyone to answer questions. The owner is quite possibly the rudest man I've ever met in my life and actually yelled at my mom when we were in to look at the space with my wedding planners. I was told that someone would contact me at 45 days out from my wedding to finalize plans and I had to call finally at 35 days because no one had called me yet. The apology I received for not calling was the most paltry email I'd ever received in my life. Jennifer (the event lead) told me she would be my "go-to" person for the wedding and then left on vacation the week of my wedding without notifying me or my wedding planners. I was told I only owed $100 one day and then the next day told I owed $700 (even though we didn't). They don't listen, they are rude, they refuse to admit fault, and no one communicates within the company, so mistakes are made often. The space was beautiful and I loved how the pictures turned out - but all of the trouble and tears I cried over this place were not worth it! Save yourself the trouble and pick a different space downtown.....this place is a trainwreck and no bride deserves to be treated like an inconvenience to a venue they are paying thousands of dollars to rent.
