The Gown Gallery

My fiance and I are planning a wedding for Spring of 2013. I began my search for the perfect dress online and fell in love with a dress from the Alma Novia collection. I found that the Gown Gallery carried this particular design line and so I made an appointment to try on the dress. My trip from St. Louis, MO was so completely worth it. My consultant, Megan, was absolutely wonderful. She had a brief consultation with me prior to pulling some dresses for me to try on. I tried on the dress I made the trip for first and then tried on some of the other gowns she pulled based on my specifications. Megan was so helpful without being pushy and made me completely comfortable. She made my experience so much fun! I ended up falling in love with dress no 3, which Megan helped me to accessorize perfectly with the addition of a belt. I was extremely impressed with the salon setting, wide selection of gowns and designers and most of all the superior customer service. Certainly a must for all brides in the area, and definitely worth the drive for brides out of area, such as myself!

I would definitely recommend any bride to purchase their dress from Gown Gallery. The store offered a variety of gown options and was very accomodating to my family memebers I wanted to bring along with me. The woman who worked with me, Heather, did a fabulous job grabbing dresses that fit exactly what I told her I liked. She brought enough dresses to help me make a decision, but not too many where I was overwhelmed. I found my perfect dress at Gown Gallery in a short amount of time. Heather got to know me on a personal level, which made me feel like I was not only a customer, but she cared as much about my big day as I did. Unlike other bridal store I had been to, she gave me dresses that I described to the T. Other stores gave me dresses that were either popular, way out of my price range, or that the woman working with me liked. I did not like the dresses. Gown Gallery catered to my needs and wants.

I purchased my gown at the Gown Gallery and would recommend it to anyone. They really listened to what I wanted in a dress and did not try to force me into purchasing a dress that I didn't absolutely love. I tried on the dress about 4 different times before I purchased it, and every time I went into the store, they were very friendly, professional, and helpful. I worked with Eboni at the Gown Gallery and she is fantastic. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease during this stressful time in the wedding planning, and that is one of the main reasons I purchased my gown there. She is extremely personable and fun to talk to, I enjoyed her so much that I asked her to be the one to help me into my gown on my wedding day. This was a great decision because then my mom and my bridesmaids could relax on the wedding day, and I felt confident in Eboni's ability to help get my dress to fit exactly how I wanted it to on the day of my wedding. It was such a wonderful experience working with those at the Gown Gallery!

I cannot thank the Gown Gallery enough for their awesome work! I had been to other bridal shops and been discouraged because I wasn't exactly 'sample size'. Liz did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable, listening to what I was looking for, and then finding my perfect dress.They were great at communicating with me during the entire process and even were very helpful when trying to work with scheduling conflicts because I live more than 3 hours away. When it came time for alterations, Barb was absolutely the best! She was professional but so personable and I automatically felt comfortable. She altered my dress so that it really looked like it was made for me and even gave me a waist, which is not something I've ever had! I have gushed about the Gown Gallery since I first walked in the door last January and will continue to recommend them to everyone, especially Barb the seamstress, she was truly awesome!

I had a wonderful experience with all of the staff at Gown Gallery. They were so patient and helpful while choosing and fitting my gown. They offered great advice and were always willing to answer my questions and find time to help me. They were such a huge part of making me feel amazing on my wedding day!

You know when you go shopping and you get frustrated because you just feel like you look terrible....it's not you, it's the dress, and they will always fix the dress to make you look perfect. Absolutely wonderful experience!!!! My dress was gorgeous and they bent over backwards to get it for me. GWEN would not stop until she found me the perfect dress and trust me IT WAS THE PERFECT DRESS. Do not worry about going there and coming out empty handed...they are there until you find THE ONE. They listen and present you with gorgeous gowns. Mine had to be special orderd- DONE no problem. it was PHENOMENAL.THANK YOU GOWN GALLERY!!!!

Everytime I walked into the Gown Gallery I couldn't help but smile. Set in downtown KC it feels chic and special to shop in this beautiful little store. The dressing rooms are HUGE (which after using the rooms at Davids Bridal which are TINY its amazing what a difference it makes in the experience) I loved all of the workers, and I always felt like a bride when I was there. My budget was small, under $1000, and I felt perfectly comfortable and was not snubbed at all for my "low" budget. Some other places will treat you like you're being cheap, but at Gown Gallery they helped me find my perfect gown and were friendly the entire time!

After many places I found the perfect dress for me at The Gown Gallery. I lived over 3 hours away and they were great at getting the dress ordered and keeping in touch with me. The only con was sometimes I would call and it would take awhile for someone who knew what was going to get on the phone, but other than that, great place. Felt very comfortable there.

We went into the Gown Gallery with an idea of what we thought "The Dress" would look like. We were helped by Caroline, who not only found amazing suggestions that were exactly what we had walked in looking for, she was very nice when I decided I wanted to try on one of "those dresses" from the magazine - huge, fluffy, lots of stuff going on. She was funny & helpful & very easy to work with. And, the selection was fantastic, we found exactly what we wanted, and it was even within the budget.

Shopping at The Gown Gallery was the best experience I could have asked for. When I initially went shopping I had just started a diet and they worked with me to allow me to order several sizes smaller than I was at the time. I don't think many places would be that flexible. Liz was my main consultant and she was AMAZING! The day of my dress rehearsal I went in to pick up the dress and it hadn't been finished being steamed so the owner brought the dress to my hotel suite (literally to the door) and set it out so it would be perfect the next day. I also added swarovski crystals to my mother's veil and the work was done perfectly. I literally can't say enough good things about The Gown Gallery.

Sharon was amazing! She listened to what my daughter wanted and within 5 gowns Ashley found the one she wanted. She kept trying on many more after that just to be sure but Sharon had nailed it. The service was great, the gown came in on time and the alterations were perfect. Kudos to the team for a beautiful bride!!!

I can't say enough positive things about the Gown Gallery. They were reliable, friendly, and genuinely excited about helping me find the perfect gown for me. I live out of town and they helped me out tremendously by being flexible with appointment times so I could squeeze in a dress fitting or alteration whenever I had the chance to come back to KC. My photos came out great and I got countless compliments about my gown and also the bridesmaid dresses that we got from Gown Gallery. Wouldn't change a thing!

Wonderful experience at the Gown Gallery. I had already picked out a dress at another shop in Kansas City and was coming here as my last stop before purchasing. Elizabeth was my consultant and immediately brought out dresses similar to the one I was considering purchasing. I never once felt pressured here to make a decision on a dress. At other shops I felt like every dress I tried on they were expecting it to be the one and for me to purchase it right then and there. The Gown Gallery was a great place to shop for the not typical bride to be. (Not a bridezilla) I just wanted a comfortable place to shop with no pressure. I also can't wait for them to move into their new space downtown!!!!

I really enjoyed my experience at the Gown Gallery. Gwen was my sales lady and she totally nailed it. I brought in quite a few pictures and I ended up buying the 2nd dress that I tried on. She was helpful but not too pushy and she was very honest. She spent hours helping me with gowns even though none really compared to that 2nd one, but we wanted to be sure. When I went to pick up the dress, Gwen was there and ohhhed and ahhhed over me again which I appreciated.

I went the gown gallery the first time by myself and had an appointment with Sharon. I was just looking for ideas and ended up finding "the dress." When I went in I told her about the wedding and told her that I wanted something that was unique. She listened to what I said and the first two dresses I tried were exactly what I said I wanted. Then we got to the third dress and she said "This is not at all what you asked for except it is unique and I think you are going to love it." I saw it on the hanger and knew that I would as well. I tried it on and knew it was "the one." My Nana and matron of honor went with me one Saturday to 4 different shops just to make sure that I had found the right dress and at the end of the day we purchased my dress at Gown Gallery.Through out the process of purchasing my dress and alterations the entire staff at Gown Gallery were wonderful. They were very attentive, professional and made me feel special. They allowed me to come in several times just to try on my dress or show it off and always were very accomodating.I had my alterations done at the shop and they were wonderful as well as reasonably priced. If you are in the Kansas City area I would reccomend this bridal salon because most of all they listened to me and helped me figure out what I was really looking for.

Outstanding service at the Gown Gallery - they helped me with a very last minute request and I couldn't have been happier with the dress, the service, the tailor, the entire experience!!

I am a bridesmaid in my sister's upcoming wedding and was the LAST one to get my dress. I called all of the online vendors in addition to at least 7 physical stores in the area. Everyone told me the dress was discontinued and I couldn't get it. I spoke to Sharon at the Gown Gallery, and she told me too, that it was discontinued. She asked about what I needed it for, and after realizing that it was URGENT that I have it, she said "let me see if there's anything else I can do." 2 days later, she called me and she was able to work with the manufacturer to get me the dress in time for the wedding! I am SO impressed by her service because ANY of the 7 other places I called could have done the same thing (talk to the manufacturer about the seriousness of the situation), but Sharon is the only one that did do it. Thank you!!!! If you want to get your dress from someone that goes above and beyond what is expected, you need to go to Gown Gallery! I LOVED working with the Gown Gallery!!! My friend and I went in there after a horrible horrible Davids Bridal experience. We figured it was worth a chance, it was less that 5 minutes from my house and the front looked small so it wouldn't take much time. I had a WONDERFUL salesperson, Janay who started by asking "What do you like, what don't you like." and immediately brought a TON of dresses to look at. Apparently the back of the store is HUGE. I think I was there less than 2 hours before I found my dress! And it was 50% off because of the move! They set me up with everything I needed and helped with things such as, I wasn't fond of the straight neckline and they said "Oh we can change that!!" I took it in for alterations in January and it was done in three weeks and IT IS GORGEOUS!!! They did a fabulous job with the alterations and I needed a LOT (the dress was a 10, I'm a 6 and I'm only 5'2 so it needed shortened and we changed the neckline). I also found a beautiful veil, but it was 2 layers and I only wanted one. "Oh we can do that!!" and we ordered it and the factory wasn't going to send it early enough for my wedding in May and the staff worked quickly and professionally and worked it out with the factory to get it here in plenty of time. I would strongly recommend Gown Gallery to everyone and anyone looking for the perfect dress and excellent service!

I worked with Sharon and I loved her work. She was able to find a gown that worked perfect for me. The gown gallery was amazing and I loved my one on one attention I got. It was a great experience and I would tell anyone to get their dresses from there.
