We held our wedding reception at the Hobbs Building with Feasts of Fancy. It was absolutely more than we could have asked for and definitely more than we imagined.Planning the reception was extremely easy with the help of the staff. They covered everything and let us know what needed to be done. This was especially helpful since we were planning the reception from Denver.The day of was great. We didn't have to do anything. When we arrived, everything had been taken care of and we could fully enjoy every moment of it. With the help of the staff and the servers, everything went smoothly. Several times throughout the night, we were asked if they could get us anything.If we had to do it over again, we would definitely choose The Hobbs Building and Feasts of Fancy!

We recently used Feasts of Fancy for catering and venue for our wedding reception in May. Everything turned out amazing! I can't say enough good things about the staff! They returned phone calls and emails so promptly and handled all the details the day of. We got so many compliments on the food! It was absolutely delicious and has a gorgeous presentation. They are flexible to work with and went out of their way to make sure everything coordinated and the night went smoothly! I would definitely recommend them for any wedding reception or event!

Seeing as I work in the wedding industry as a planner myself, my criteria for catering and reception spaces was much higher than the average bride. The Hobbs Building & Feasts of Fancy met my expectations and then some! I had to plan my wedding out of town, and they worked so closely with me- even meeting me the week before Christmas- to make sure I was able to taste the food and plan the space in person. I wish I was closer to this venue, as I would recommend it to brides I work with every time. Guests couldn't believe the understated appeal of the venue, coupled with the atypical palette of gourmet food at our wedding. I have no regrets about using Feasts of Fancy- which is a tall order for most venues!

We used Feasts of Fancy catering service for our wedding reception at The Sawyer Room and we absolutely loved the food! Besides the food tasting amazing, it looked amazing! The buffet set up was gorgeous! Our guests raved about the food. I would highly recommend Feasts of Fancy for catering any special occasions!

I can not say enough about The Hobbs Building as a venue and Feasts of Fancy as a caterer! One of the best decisions that we made with regard to our wedding is to host the ceremony and reception at this venue! The service was UNBELIEVABLE! Planning was a breeze with the help of their coordinators; they made sure we had thought of everything and worked so hard the day of the wedding to make sure everything was perfect. Some of the staff even helped me pin my dress as one of the seams had ripped during the reception. They made sure my husband and I had everything we needed with regard to food and drink and even pulled me aside later in the night to make sure I had a snack and could cool off. We have received MANY compliments on the quality of the food. The caterers are AMAZING! They took a family recipe of an Indian dish and made it perfectly! The creator of the recipe even said it tasted exactly like hers. I would recommend this venue to anyone for any event. It is truly worth every penny and probably more! The service and quality that you recieve will make your day a perfect one! The venue is unique and gorgeous at night and you won't get better catering in Kansas City!

The location was just what we wanted--not too formal but a great look and feel! Picking here also made it easy cuz they are the caterer. And they are terrific. Everyone loved the food. One of our desserts was macaroons dipped in chocolate. Soooo yummy! After the tasting we had some reservations but they incorporated what we wanted much better than we could have hoped.We worked with Denise who was just as nice as could be along with Kathleen and Andy. Everyone was very accommodating.When we walked in prior to the ceremony the room was perfectly set--they even put out our table numbers that were sitting there off to the side. Everyone also loved the room. While the location is a bit out of the way, it was definitely worth it. Just be sure to send directions with your invitations.The food is so good, I'd seriously consider hiring them to just cater an event even if that venue wasn't right for the affair! The is a unique urban event space tucked away in the west bottoms. Although it is a bit difficult to find, this gem is worth the trouble. The large high-ceiling room is a much more casual atmosphere than hotels and other swankier looking venues. This is just a nice warm spot. We had our ceremony as well as sit down space for a buffet dinner. They quickly turned the room while we passed appetizers and opened the bar!This venue is booked through Feasts of Fancy who also have their catering kitchen here for all their catering jobs but also has this great event space. While Feasts of Fancy is listed under caterers, since Hobbs isn't listed for ceremonies and receptions I wanted to get it added so more will discover it. The people are delightful to work with. Interesting square tables are used here and that in itself was fun and different!They also have a dynamite outside venue for ceremonies (and receptions) in nice weather. Unfortunately our December wedding prevented us from using this. But we have a lot of smokers so we set up propane heaters outside along with some tables and chairs.

Feasts of Fancy at the Hobbs building was more than I could have asked for. The food was top notch, gormet and delicious. I am still craving their famous crackers, coffee and pasta that we served. Our reception was at the Hobbs building and the staff was unbeatable. I am still getting compliments on what a wonderful diamond in the rough that event space is and on how incredible the food is. The staff was so attentive and made the evening run smooth without a worry. There isn't anyother venue that I'd use!!!

Our wedding at the Hobbs Building was incredible. The venue is so unique, the service is excellent, and the food is amazing. Everyone kept telling us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been too. We were happy with every part of our experience there.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! I could not have imagined a better venue for my wedding & reception. My husband and I still have friends, family & co- workers telling us how amazing our wedding was & how much they loved the location of the reception & that it was the best wedding reception they have been to!THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL.......RUSTIC ELEGANCE!The staff was warm, friendly, professional & just all around awesome!!!! And the food, OH! Andy and his staff rock!!!!! This place is the total package. Kathleen, Andy and their entire team know how to throw a party & give you a night you will never forget!!!!
