Drexel Hall

Michael and Richard were so easy to work with. They let us come in Friday at 9:30 the day before the wedding and set up so that we could relax that afternoon before the rehearsal and not worry about decorating the Saturday of the wedding. I came to the hall multiple times to get an idea of where to put things, how many tables I would need, etc. They were SO accommodating. It saved us so much money being able to bring in our own food and alcohol, and overall the value was excellent! They helped make our beautiful vintage new years eve wedding a huge success! I highly recommend Drexel Hall to any Kansas City Bride!

Drexel Hall is a beautiful venue that was large enough to hold over 300 people. The owner was not very friendly or particularly helpful until we chose a caterer. Apparently we chose one he liked because he suddenly became very helpful! Keep in mind when you choose Drexel, you are just getting the space which means more management for the planners (bride, mother, etc). It was a beautiful space and in the end, my reception was perfect!

Beautiful venue!! Really enjoyed our reception, however, setting up and decorating was difficult as the site is a Historic building. Several electrical outlets don't work or short out. Other than that, the setting was amazing!

This venue is so unique, elegant and a great deal for the cost. It's a steal compared to other places in KC, but the main place we found we saved money here is using their suggestion of Affordable Catering and us getting to provide the alcohol, so we avoided all the mark up with that. I think a lot of people thought our reception cost much more that it actually did- which is great :)

Richard is extremely efficient and takes pride in owning and renting this ballroom. Drexel Hall was a timeless and elegant venue and was absolutely perfect for us. You can rent white chairs and tables from Drexel Hall for a small price and that saves a lot of worry with rentals, etc. Our pictures of Drexel came out beautifully and we are so glad we had our reception there. It fit about 300 people beautifully. The balconly is classic...what a fairytale.

Beautiful venue!! I had my wedding and reception in their great room. Everything was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this location for wedding and/or reception. I was very pleased!!

Drexel Hall was a beautiful setting for our reception. Richard was great to work with, very timely and professional. He allowed us to come in early the day before to decorate which was very generous and to return the next morning to finish our clean-up. We brought our own alcohol and hired bartenders from Affordable Catering to serve which saved us a bunch compared to other venues. The balconies are gorgeous and I love that the building has its original hard wood floors. We did have to seat some guests upstairs and some downstairs for dinner (150 guests), but it wasn't much of an inconvenience for our younger friends to go upstairs. I would recommend Drexel Hall to brides looking for an affordable and beautiful reception location.

We were extremely pleased to hold our wedding & reception at Drexel Hall. It's a charming place where we've attended several other events. Its upstairs balcony overlooks the main floor and was a big selling point for us. Tables and chairs are available as part of your contract. Economically, their fee even for a Saturday was one of the most reasonable of those we checked. There's not much of a kitchen though, which was cumbersome for our caterer. They were familiar with the location however, and were prepared to work with what the venue did offer. There's a list of "preferred" caterers (ours was not one of them), and we were not pushed to use their recommendations. Overall was a pleasure to work with Drexel Hall and I would highly recommend them!
