We had a great experience working with Erin. Our cake was beyond delicious. We knew it was good at our tasting, but when we were feeding each other our first pieces of cake we were shocked at how delicious it was! And the price was very reasonable. Dolce is a darling little bakery to visit in person, and we are so happy we chose Dolce to bake our wedding cake!

I ordered wedding cupcakes from Dolce, and from our first meeting through the big day, Erin and everyone else was wonderful to work with. Our cupcakes were stunning and absolutely delicious. :) We are still getting compliments from our guests about them. I can't recommend Dolce enough. They are the best in Kansas City!!

We absolutely LOVED working with Erin & Dolce Baking Company! I loved the fact that Erin is a recent bride herself...she is young and energetic, which was a breath of fresh air during the wedding planning process. She had great ideas but was also open to whatever it was that we had in mind. I showed her a picture of the cake that I loved and she replicated it perfectly. AND, not to mention that the cake is SOOOO yummy! Dolce's cake is moist and the buttercream frosting is the best! Last minute, we added a groom's cake, and it was perfect as well. We received so many compliments about the cake...luckily we had extra, so we were able to enjoy the amazing cake for the brunch the day after the wedding.THANK YOU Dolce & Erin for making our wedding and our wedding cake even better than we could have ever imagined! My cake was fabulous!!! My cake had three flavors--classic vanilla with butter cream frosting, chocolate with raspberry cream icing and carrot cake with cream cheese icing. It was delicious!! I had a photo of what I wanted the cake to look like (I'd found it in a magazine) and Erin and the Dolce team did a wonderful job at recreating the cake for my big day. They are very flexible and willing to work with what you want. I changed my mind a couple times and Erin was totally fine with that! My biggest complaint was the lack of responsiveness--sometimes it took several days to get a response from an e-mail (which is how we communicated most of the time). This made me a bit nervous that everything wouldn't turn out exactly as planned on my wedding day but everything worked out perfectly! I will say that the responsiveness was better a few days before the wedding, which is why I gave them 3 stars. Overall, my experience was great and the cake was exactly what I'd hoped for! I'd definitely recommend Dolce for any big event or just to stop by the cafe for a sweet treat and coffee!

Dolce Baking... particularly the owner, Erin Brown, are FANTASTIC to work with. If you are like me, you probably have no idea what you really want or have a basic outline, but lack the creativity to fill it in. Well Erin was able to be creative with our cake without going overboard. Additionally, my fiance and I had a unique filling idea that Erin did not hesitate at all to create for us. Dolce Baking went above and beyond our expectations!!!

Both my husband and I were very happy with Dolce Baking Company who not only supplied our wedding cake, groom's cakes, party favors but also made our cupcakes for our wedding shower. We got so many compliments from our guests on how great everything looked and how amazing they tasted. Dolce Baking Company was the perfect choice for our event. We found Erin online and met with her in Kansas City the summer before the wedding. I was most excited about doing lots of wedding cake tastings, but after meeting with Erin, we were hooked. She opened Dolce Bakery a few months later and their desserts are great. She specializes in the delicious cake itself, not as much on fancy designs or "art cakes." though she does that part well, too. For what we wanted, this was perfect. She made the outer icing sparkly to match my dress and arranged foliage and roses beautifully on the cake. We also plotted a heart shaped "groom's cake" for a surprise party for my now husband the night before the wedding. It was 1000 times better than I had pictured and tasted delicious. This is a great business to support and you will love your cake!
