C & C Cakes

Cathy and her daughter Cate are fabulous! Who else brings an entire cake for tasting?? She had great ideas, was willing to do whatever we needed and designed a cake just like we wanted. Plus, she stepped out of her comfort zone and did a Camaro cake for the groom! It was perfect! Also, did I mention her cake is very, very good? Several people commented about the flavor and how good the cake was. You can't do better for your wedding cake than Cathy.

Cathy and Cate were wonderful to work with. I never had to worry about a thing knowing they would take care of it all and with great skill. The colors, details and taste were spot on. I answered the same question all night, "Who did your cake and cupcakes?" They will get all of my future cake business and maybe an impulse cake now and then, just because I love the flavor! Thanks ladies!

Cathy is amazing. She has all of the qualities of the perfect wedding vendor. She always contacts you to plan meetings and will drive to your home to meet with you. She brought her samples to us, and after tasting them, we immediately decided not to look any further. She has amazing prices, and will actually help you save money on your cake. Our design details didn't cost extra, and every time we met or made a payment, it was soon followed with a letter in the mail documenting details and payments. Most importantly, Cathy took on the challenge of turning our ideas into a cake, and it was beautiful and delicious! We are already excited for our anniversary cake! I definitely recommend C&C Cakes, and would order from them again any time!!

Cathy's cake was everything that I wanted. It was beautiful and delicious. Her prices were very reasonable. She delivered on time and left boxes to box up the remainder. Another special thing she does is give you the anniversary cake for free so its nice and fresh and you don't have to freeze your top layer. The only thing I was upset about is how much cake was left over.

My cake was so beautiful and very very delicious. My guest are still talking about it. I would recommend her services to anyone. She was professional, timely, and most easy to get along with. She baked us a sample cake and I was sold immediately after the first bite. I say this from the heart. A Cathy Coombs cake will be the delight of your wedding reception. You can take that to the bank.

My husband and I started planning our wedding about a year ago. When we contacted Kansas City Wedding Cakes we really didn't have an idea of what we wanted to do for the cake. We sat down with Cathy and she showed us some beautiful cakes she had done in the past to get some ideas. She also had a cake there for us to taste and it was wonderful. We got to talking about the wedding and where it would take place (Maui) and ideas just started flowing. She suggested we put incorporate something about Maui into the wedding cake. I am so glad this idea was presented. In the end we all came up with a beautiful idea for a cake. I don't know how we would have done it without Cathy's help. She has wonderful ideas and makes you feel so comfortable that you know your cake is going to be the most beautiful one you've every seen, or tasted. Our cake ended up being a three tiered cake with lace icing all around. On the top layer she actually made the island of Maui out of icing. There were starfish and seashells all around the cake. The best part about that was everything was eatable. The starfish looked real too. She put toffee in the mold to make them look real. We had three different flavors and everyone was wonderful. We also had a grooms cake which turned out amazing. I just can't say thank you enough to Cathy for everything she did for us. She is a truley amazing woman. I will never forget that day and how beautiful everything was.

Cathy is so affordable and sweet. She does a remarkable job with seeing your vision and bringing it to life. She had so many weddings to do before mine and so many personal things going on and that did not stop her with bringing her game. Despite all of her problems she had right before my wedding she made it happen. She also had a full time job outside of doing cakes and she pulls it off. My grooms cake was just what we wanted and they tasted wonderful... she worked with us and our odd cake topper. She also had to work with ribbon and flowers. She did and outstanding job on reading what I wanted plus she traveled all the way to St. Joseph, MO. with two cakes.Thanks again CathyLove Adam and Sara Ward

The cake turned out exactly like we wanted and Cathy made a special effort to meet our needs despite the unusual shape of the cake.
