Caren's Cakes

Caren created the biggest, tastiest, most amazing cake for our wedding! Our guests raved about the cake! She was great to work with and created a true masterpiece for our wedding.

Caren was great to work with and took the time to make sure she understood exactly what we wanted. I am very picky about wedding cakes and Caren's cake tasted the very best out of all of them and she created a cake that was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted! I had so many compliments on how great the cake tasted and how pretty it was too! I can't wait to eat the top tier in a year! Thank you Caren!!

Caren's cake was just perfect and made to our specifications. That is probably why she is the busiest wedding cake provider in the area. Her eye for detail is impeccable and her suggestions were right in line with our needs. I really wish that I had ordered much more to have to take home. The anniversary cake was free for the bride and groom which was not true with other vendors that we checked out. Also, it is really bigger than most top layers. We had the white cake for the bottom tier, chocolate for another, and key lime for the smaller. It was all GREAT. Everyone raved about the flavor and the beauty of the cake. Caren, thanks for making out wedding cake the BEST. It was wonderful meeting you and working with you.Bryon, the groom, doesn't like cake much but he does like yours. Caren made a cake that tasted great and looked beautiful. During the tasting she took notes on what we liked in a cake flavor, design, and presentation. Even if you don't have an idea what you like she will help you decide. Two weeks before my wedding when I needed to give her the final order she reminded me of what we liked and didn't like at our tasting. I did some shopping around and Caren offers one of the best price per piece that I found in the KC area. I gave her a 4 out of 5 on responsiveness not because she didn't get back to me. Caren was great about returning calls. It's that she is a very busy lady and sometimes our calls were interrupted. Although, I learned if you call her earlier in the week she has more time then closer to the weekends where she is usually preparing for a few weddings. Also, one other thing I really like about Caren is that she picked up the cake equipment directly from my venue the next day. This was helpful since I was still busy with out of town guest up until we left for our honeymoon. Other cake vendors said I would need to take the cake equipment back to them.

Caren was absolutely wonderful to work with. We met with her to decide the cake design and based on my very vague descriptions, she created the perfect cake! I did a TON of research on cake designers and she is, by far, the best, cheapest and easiest to work with in the Kansas City area. I loved that she didn't tack on extra fees here and there but rather had one set price regardless of fillings and flavors. Our reception was in a gigantic hall, so she created very reasonable "floater" cakes to create an enormous cake that was proportional to our room. Also, one thing that is neat about her cakes is that the sheet cakes in the kitchen are EXACTLY the same as the pieces that come from the wedding cake. You might not think this is a big deal, but think about it: if some of your guests are served from the wedding cake and some are served from the sheet cake at the same table, your guests will notice a big difference in quality, size and appearance. This is NOT the case with Caren's Cakes. Our wedding cake was absolutely delicious and still is even a couple of months later! :)

Caren's Cakes not only tasted delicious but looked gorgeous. I had no idea what I wanted for a cake and Caren walked me through it and the cake looked fabulous at the wedding. Everytime people look at pictures of my reception they always comment on the cake.

There was so many choices of creating the cake. The cost of the cake was very good and the little kids loved it! Came on time and it was my dream cake for my wedding.

Hands down, Caren has the best tasting cake of anyone out there! I absolutely love wedding cake, so when I found out I was getting married, she was the first person I called to book. She books up really quickly, so call as soon as possible. She is a little on the pricey side, but her cake is so delicious. At our one year anniversary, the cake was still just as good.Caren lives out of town, so she will meet with you on the weekends when she delivers cakes to her other customers at various reception sites.

We are so happy with the cake Caren created for us. Throughout the planning stages she was great about following up, making suggestions, and double-checking our order just incase the week before the wedding. She event went above and beyond, in my opinion, by working directly with our florist. Our cake had a lot of flowers on it and she volunteered to contact our florist directly and work with them to ensure a smooth cake creation. She lived up to that commitment and did a great job coordinating with the other vendor. It was definitely appreciated with all that we had going on with our wedding planning. The cake looked absolutely amazing, and many of our guests commented that it both looked and tasted good. We couldn't have been more pleased.

After tasting Caren's Cakes at a bridal show, I knew we had to have her make our wedding cake. She is the nicest person to work with! She really listens to what you want and has a ton of pictures for you to look through if you're not sure what you want...you're able to get plenty of ideas! She allowed me to make payments throughout the months prior to my wedding date which helped me with all of the other wedding expenses coming due at once. I heard from several wedding guests that it was the best cake they have ever had....I'd have to agree!

As soon as we tasted Caren's Cake at a bridal show, we booked her for our wedding. The cake was delicious, people commented on it all night long. It was beautiful, too. It was perfect!

Caren is the best wedding cake service in Kansas City. Everyone knows her cake is divine. It is so moist and tasty. She has lots of variety. Though she lives about an hour outside of KC, she is extremely flexible for any wedding event. For my December wedding, she drove in the night before and stayed overnight in the hotel where our reception was held, just as a precaution to the winter weather forecast! All our guests still talk about her service and the how great the cake tasted and looked!

Caren's Cakes is one of the best wedding cake vendors I have researched in the Kansas City area! I tasted a lot of wedding cake during my search, and her cakes are outstanding! Our wedding guests raved about the cake as well! She was responsive to my questions and was easy to work with as far as creating the cake we wanted for what we preferred to spend. The wedding cake she made for us had great attention to detail and it was fun, chic, and fresh, and most importantly, it tasted great! She knows what she is doing! We would recommend her to anyone. We were pleased! :)
